Mayor, Council Now Consider Halper Farm A Recycling Center 

The mayor and governing body have determined that the Halper property on Metlars and Washington Avenue is a recycling center and not a farm.  In the lengthy comments referencing the property (now condemned by the township elected officials), no mention was made of any permit/license the Halpers may possess to allow recycling on the site nor was there a review in writing by a reputable engineering firm to confirm the decision by the elected officials.

YMCA Proposal Discussed 

At Tuesday's township meeting, a proposal for architectural, civil engineering and surveying design services for the YMCA building was discussed by the council.  Although the governing body is actively seeking funding for the structure, there was no guarantee offered by the council president that donations would fully fund the project.

Regular Meeting 

The next regular meeting of the PRO is Thursday, March 11. The meeting will be held at the Spain Inn and begins promptly at 8pm. The candidate screening committee will present its list of screened and recommended candidates for this fall's election. We hope to see you there!
